1. About our objects

Interesting Object sells curated decorative objects for interiors. Our stock may include contemporary, vintage, pre owned, handmade and unique objects, including ceramics, glass, sculpture, metalwork and other design pieces.

Many objects are available in a quantity of one.

We aim to describe and photograph every object accurately. Vintage, pre owned and handmade objects may show age related wear, patination, historic repairs, manufacturing irregularities and other variations. Where material, these will be identified in the product description or photographs.

Dimensions and weights are given as accurately as reasonably possible but may be approximate. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and the device on which images are viewed.

Where maker, designer, date, origin, provenance or attribution is uncertain, the listing may use qualifying terms such as “attributed to”, “possibly”, “believed to be”, “in the manner of” or similar wording. Any such qualification forms part of the description of the object.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights where goods are not as described, are not of satisfactory quality or are not fit for their intended purpose.

2. Orders and contract formation

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the item or items in your basket.

An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.

A contract between you and us is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted or dispatched.

Because much of our stock is unique, there may occasionally be circumstances in which an item has become unavailable before our systems have updated. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will notify you and refund any payment taken.

We may also contact you if there is an obvious and genuine error in a product price or description. We will not charge a higher price without your agreement.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

Any applicable delivery charge will be shown before you place your order.

Payment is processed through the payment methods made available at checkout. You must be authorised to use the payment method supplied.

We will not add optional charges without your consent.

4. Delivery

We currently accept orders for delivery within the United Kingdom.

Available delivery services and charges will be shown at checkout.

We will take reasonable care in packing objects appropriately for their nature and value.

Any delivery dates or times shown are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise. We will deliver goods without undue delay and, unless another period has been agreed with you, within the period required by applicable consumer law.

Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive them.

If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please retain the packaging and contact hello@interestingobject.com as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel an online purchase and to return goods are set out in our Return and refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

For most consumer purchases made online, you have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods.

Nothing in these terms or our returns policy limits your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods or goods that are not as described.

6. Unique and replacement objects

Because many of our objects are unique, vintage or available only in very limited quantities, it may not be possible to provide an identical replacement if an item is lost, damaged or returned.

Where an identical replacement is unavailable, we will provide the remedy to which you are entitled under applicable law, which may include a refund.

7. Ownership

You will own the goods once we have received payment in full.

8. Website content and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Interesting Object name, branding, website text, photographs, graphics and other original website content are owned by or licensed to Aspect Global Art Ltd.

You may view and use the website for your own personal, non commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, republish, sell, commercially exploit or systematically extract our photographs, descriptions or other original content without permission.

Any third party trademarks, artist names, designer names or other intellectual property referred to on the website remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or restrict liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory rights in relation to goods.

If you are buying as a consumer, we are not responsible for losses relating to your business, including loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity.

If you wish to purchase primarily for business or commercial purposes, please contact us before ordering.

10. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If such circumstances materially affect your order, we will contact you where reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect. Your statutory rights, including any right to cancel because of a substantial delay, are unaffected.

11. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy policy and the privacy choices provided through our website.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time.

The terms that apply to your purchase are those in force when you place your order. Changes made afterwards will not retrospectively alter an existing contract with you.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, and nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
