Who we are

Interesting Object is a trading name of Aspect Global Art Ltd, company number 16910255, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Contact us at hello@interestingobject.com.

What we collect and why

When you buy from us, we collect your name, email address, delivery and billing address, and phone number if you give it. We use these to process your order, deliver it, deal with returns and keep the records the law requires. Payment is handled by Shopify's checkout. We do not see or store your full card details.

If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address to send occasional news about new objects. We do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and keep a record of any enquiry or order.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes limited technical information, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed. This keeps the site running and secure and shows us, in aggregate, how it is used. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Cookies

The site uses the small amount of storage needed for your bag and checkout to work. Shopify's checkout sets its own cookies to complete a purchase.

Who we share it with

Shopify, for checkout, payments and order management. Intuit Mailchimp, for the mailing list. Lovable, for website hosting. Google, for web fonts. Royal Mail or our courier, who receive your name and delivery address so they can deliver your order. We do not sell your information.

International processing

Some of these providers process information outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards are used.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records, normally six years. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. We may keep a record of your unsubscribe so that we continue to respect it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email hello@interestingobject.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
